Book Orders

So excited to see how many book orders will be coming in by the end of the week. One of the best ways to get children and to keep children reading is by providing texts at their interest level. A Look at Last Week

Last week we continued to work on our growth mindset reflections. The children are making small goals for themselves daily. We are looking forward to meeting and exceeding our established goals :)

First Week Frenzy

What a first week we had here at DES. Students arrived on Tuesday ready and enthusiastic to learn. It has truly been a magical couple of days. You will find a few pictures just showcasing some of the things we have already done here in the LRC. 

 We are big on filling buckets in our class and school, this was reviewed while reading through "How Full is Your Bucket." 

We are also all about GROWTH MINDSET! While reading the story, "The Girl Who Never Made Mistakes," we reviewed comprehension/writing organizers from our emPOWER Program as well as some other goal setting ideas. I am so thrilled to see how the children will exhibit the motto that they created for themselves this year.
